  • Beauty & style bloggers are your friends and if you have had a great review, this can be added too (with their permission of course).

A Call Out & I Need You Help

I will soon be launching an article promoting the lovliness of handcraft soap that will go live at Maboho. I don't know how many will want their soapies featured in the article but I will initiate the call out to followers of @Myboho on twitter and will be available to followers of the Maboho.blogspot.com.

But I do need your help in boosting the Maboho blog, site and Myboho twitter followers. The bigger the following, the wider the audience I can reach to promote your products and businesses. Although maboho.co.uk is becoming rather popular and getting more and more new visitors every day.

I am looking to create pictoral links to really beautiful, handmade soaps. If you have a pride and joy you would like to feature and would like a chance to be included in the article, follow @Myboho on twitter and follow the Maboho.blogspot.com.

When the call out appears at @Myboho, there will be a few hours to submit:

1 x Picture of your bestest soapie

I will need:

-company name
-name of soap
-link to where it can be purchased online
-price/size
-1 really short product description (I may not be able to include the caption if it is too long - sorry)
-If you are willing to offer an exlusive discount/special offer for Maboho visitors, that would be great and may help drive traffic to your sites. I may need you to give me a code so that you will recognise where the traffic is coming from.

To be sent to enquiries@maboho.co.uk and the subject line 'SOAP NOV'

It will be a first come, first serve and I will try to fit in as many as I can without overloading the article with pictures and preference will be given to any exclusive offers to Maboho visitors.

I don't plan to launch the call out until @Myboho twitter followers has exceeded 60 (at least) and will be available to Maboho.blogspot.com followers. So please go and follow on twitter and the blogspot. This helps to boost Maboho/Myboho followers and the more that follow, the bigger the audience there is to promote your products. If you can also raise awareness of Maboho (site, blog and Myboho twitter) to really boost up those followers, it would it help me to help you, if you see what I mean :o)

Get Involved...

Sorry, it is ages since I posted here. Anyway, I have a couple of things that you might be interested in. I would like to feature some of your Christmas Products in a Handmade Christmas. More about this later but first, you need to know where this feature will be.

Some of you may be familiar with a recent project I have been working on. For those of you that aren't aware, it is my pleasure to introduce Maboho!

The Maboho scene is set around beauty & style for the 'average' Jo(anne). By 'average' I mean us everyday folks, who love beauty & fashion, regardless of age, size, shape and lifestyle. It brings together 'real' people with 'real' views, opinions and ideas by featuring review blogs/vlogs from hard-working and talented beauty and style bloggers.

The platform will feature beauty & style products from both the High Street to the individualism of hand crafted products. The bias will be on small, independant businesses of course, but by sharing the same platform with more mainstream brands, it is hoped that it will raise the profile and general awareness of small businesses.

There is a forum too. This forum is completely different to that of the Fresholi forum though, so not for technical/business discussion. What I would like to do with this is build a community where beauty & style focussed businesses/bloggers can interact and build nice relationships with those who would be consumers.

Nice easy talk and relationship building for us mere 'average' beautiful people of the internet world ;) So if this is the sort of thing you think you could get involved in, do join us - It is only a baby as we are in the early stages at the moment but more we can grow the community, the more people you can reach out to, s0 please get involved, and spread the word so we can move this out of its infancy.

How You Can Get Involved With Maboho

If you have any products that you have had reviewed, particlarly by a beauty/style blogger and especially by vlogger, send me an email to enquiries@maboho.co.uk with a link to the review. I can then set about adding the review to the site (once I have the blogger's permission of course).

If you are releasing a new line of products or have a presentation that you think may 'fit', just let me know.

You can also add your business listing to the directory and tell anyone else, who have a beauty/style related business to add theirs.

Follow Maboho tweets.... @Myboho and tell others. The wider the audience, the bigger exposure I can give to businesses (if you see what I mean).

So, onto the 'Handmade Christmas' feature....
Link
I am going to put together a feature called 'Handmade Christmas', which will feature a range of bath and body gift sets that have all been handmade.

If you have your Christmas gifts all ready and can be bought online (now or very soon) and would like it to be included...

Send it to enquiries@maboho.co.uk but please put the subject title as BB Christmas (otherwise I may not be able to find it in the inbox when calling up the emails)

I will need:

- 1 Picture (a nice, large quality picture is best so I can resize it)

- 1 Name of gift set/name on your site

- 1-2 Lines of descriptive text and something that 'sells' your product

- Contents and sizes (ie 1 x soap 90g 1 x body butter 200g etc...)

- Cost

- Any special offer (such as gift wrapping, discounts etc....) - just as a note, if you are able to do an exclusive offer just for those who visit fro Maboho, that might be really good for generating more interest there - the bigger the audience there, the more exposure future promotions/presentations etc.... businesses will get IYSWIM, so any help would be greatly appreciated

-Links to any blog/vlog reviews of any product within the gift package if available. I noticed on the stats that products that had a review linked generated a lot of interest[/li][/list]

Please only send 1 product detail at this point and depending on what response I get to this, it might be that I won't be able to use all submissions, but I will try. The closing date for submissions is 12 Noon GMT Wednesday 2nd November

Do You Know Any Crafters/Designers Of Clothing/Accessories/Gifts?

I would like to feature some gift ideas for hand crafted / uniquely designed clothing/accessories/gifts that would make ideal Christmas gifts. If there's anyone you are in contact with or who's work impresses you and they make some really stylish/unique clothing pieces/accessories and you think they should be featured, please point them to this blog post for the details, because I would rather feature someone known by a blog reader.

For Crafters/Designers Of Clothing/Accessories/Gifts...

If you would like your product featured, it needs to be available to buy on the internet (now or very soon). Please send 1 submission only at this point, to enquiries@maboho.co.uk but please put the subject title as CAG Christmas and I will need to locate it. As above, I will need:

- 1 Picture (a nice, large quality picture is best so I can resize it)
- 1 Name of gift/name on your site
- 1-2 Lines of descriptive text and something that 'sells' your product
- Contents and sizes (ie 1 x soap 90g 1 x body butter 200g etc...)
- Any special offer - exclusive offers to maboho would be wonderful
- Links to any blog/vlog reviews if available.

Keep Updated!

I will update reviews/product features at the @Myboho account on twitter (in case you don't already follow it).

Gosh.... that turned out to be a much bigger post than expected. Sorry if I rambled. I am wishing everyone a lovely evening and I hope you have fun over Halloween!!!

Floral Waxes and More.....

Over Christmas, the Fresholi website had a brand new facelift. It looks completely different from the previous site but it seems to be going down really well with both members and customers. A very special thanks to my hubby for that :o)

Yay!!! Finally the floral waxes are back in stock!! Plenty of rose, jasmine, orange flower, tuberose and mimosa waxes. Gosh..... feels like an age since they have been in.

Also, I have restocked on the most popular allergen-free fragrance oils PLUS added a few more to the range ;o)

And finally, a couple of more essential oils have been added.... geranium bourbon rose absolute.

Do pop and have a look at the new site if you haven't already. It might take a bit of getting used to but all the resources etc.... are all still there :o))

Skin Bistro – Out Of The Blue…

What a lovely surprise! I received a lovely white box, tied with deep purple ribbon quite out of the blue from Skin Bistro. How lovely! It reminded me of those lovely cake boxes that contain those exquisite cupcakes.

Inside, nestled among a lovely deep purple was a kilner jar of Yogi’s Bath Salts, which looks fit for a king or queen. Containing Himalayan Pink salt with a sprinkling of rose petals and a blend of essential oils including lavender, frankincense and marjoram – lovely to induce deep relaxation and calm while soothing aching muscles. It smells divine!!

Also two bars of soap, one that has been hand-milled for gentleness and care of the face. This pretty, layered Rice Pudding Castille soap is rich in olive oil and also contains pink clay and ground rice, to gently cleanse. With essential oils of ylang and sandalwood, it has a rich and round aroma. This really is a most gentle and caring soap and while the skin feels lovely and clean, it doesn’t leave it feeling tight or dry.

The luscious Cupuacu soap, from the Amazonian Butters range, is unscented and has a most rich and lush lather, leaving the skin feeling calm and comfortable.

I think what is so unique about Skin Bistro is that a beautiful balance has been struck between keeping packaging minimal while still creating an enormous impact with presentation. The jar can be used again, the box will make an excellent keepsake box and the ribbon has already played its part in decorating a number of my daughter’s hairstyles.

I want to say a huge, enormous thank you to Andrea from Skin Bistro for my lovely, out-of-the-blue gift. I feel so honoured and I am very grateful. I absolutely love everything about the gift :o)
